HOW TO GET IDEAS it is a new EP by avant-rockers of QUI. The band has been formed in LA in 2000 as a duo, but after some guest appereances David Yow decided to join them as a singer in 2006. This period lasted until 2013, when Yow left the band because of his reunions with his bands Jesus Lizard and Scratch Acid, and his solo album, and his exhibitions, so finally there no left enough time for Qui, so he has become a part-time collaborator. But not on this EP. Now you must settle for Dale Crover of Melvins on vocals and percussion. Anyway he is the co-producder of the EP which is out now on Dutch label Geertruida. Distributed in US by Orgmusic
Deerhoof formed as a drum’n’bass duo in San Francisco in 1994. In 1995 Satomi Matsuzaki joined them as a singer within a week of arriving in the United States from Japan without any band experience, and went on tour only a week later… Later she would be the bass player too. And a guitar player is there too, not of course. If you want more music click

YOU. is the name of a band in New York. Just try to search it on the net… Their music is better. Cold but danceable synth punk a la Digital Leather and New Order
Sunchaser LP + digital on Dais Records (US)

The BILDERS are groups of various musicians and friends from New Zealand, Australia, United States, Germany, Austria and France. In 2013 there were 3 different line-ups, one in Australia, one in New Zealand and one in Germany. The New Zealander musician and writer Bill Direen stands in the centre of these groups. Their melodic minimal art pop is just like the Blurt.
Now here is a special 7″ vinyl with 3 tracks from 3 different line-ups. It consists a situationist exposé of current damn fool world political events: „The utopians R just out of boozin”; an appealing ballad plus a simmering live extract from a recent European tour. The ballad is like a song by Mick Harvey
SmartGuy Records (US)
In the NZ-er band the drummer is Stu Kawovski (Stuart Page), who also in the best alternative pop band of New Zealand, The Axemen.
It is impossible to say (not only smart things but) anything when you get such sad news – Filip Topol from Czechia, probably the greatest singer-songwriter from the Eastern bloc and probably the only man to play heartbreaking punk on a piano died today, not so suddenly.
May he rest in peace.
