Ez az első lemez, amit 2023-ban elém evett a fene. Így kell indítani egy új zenei évet! Mármint, hogy a hangszóróból rád kiáltják: Hey-hey Fuck You!
Kansas City borzalmai a Wayne Pain & The Shit Stains már régi ismerősök, az ez előtti Ep a Feed The Dog is nagy kedvenc, meg a zenekarból ketten is benne voltak a FAG COP-ban, ami 2012-ben olyan koncertet adott, hogy nekem az simán ilyen top5 RNR666 Buli.
Négy szám, négy igénytelen, szemét részeg hőbörgés. Érdekes, minden számról bevillan valami videóklip ötlet.
Az elsőnek ugyan The Zoo a címe, de nekem valahogy az van a fejemben, hogy bebaszott, bedrogozott surmók balhéznak a cirkuszi állatok ketrecei előtt, az állatok meg ott visonganak, rohangálnak a rácsok mögött. Az aláfestő zene meg ez a Cramps szerű lepattant genyó. A második klip már a számcím My Daddy’s Got White Thrash Friends miatt adja magát. Részeg, idősebb arcok egy kocsmában gázoskodnak, kurvára nem fogják fel, hogy manapság már nem menő csajokat fogdosni, meg dohányozni is tilos már az ilyen helyeken és magukhoz ragadják a karaokegépet! Betesznek valami szar rock ‘n’ roll számot, amiből miattuk egy fasza Butthole Surfers szerű káosz lesz.
A következő Eye Blew My Mind című szám klipjét akár saját élményem alapján is le lehetne forgatni. Egy beLSD-zett és egy hótrészeg kilép a Trafik Klub ajtaján miután felkóvályog a pincéből, a hótrészegnél basszusgitár. A környéken lomtalanítás van, kidobott kacatok mindenfelé. Persze egy idő után ráröppennek az érdekesebb kupacokra (minden érdekes). Hazaérnek. Nincs meg a basszusgitár. Vissza megkeresni. Nincs meg. A zene amúgy engem a nagyszerű detroiti Clone Defects-re emlékeztet, belőlük lett később a Human Eye.
És az utolsó a Shut The Fuck Up I’m On The Phone itt már tényleg egyszerű a képlet, tényleg kurvára idegesítő, ha telefonálás közben valaki még pofázik is hozzád.

Qinqs – Qinqs (Goodbye Boozy Records) 2023
Öt számos kislemez két sráctól, akik mindenféle jobbnál jobb ausztrál zenekarokban játszanak, mint a Ghoulies, Kitchen People, Pensioner M.S.O.L. (Jó hír, a Ghoulies szeptemberben koncertezik Budapesten a Kriptában!)
Ez más mint amit eddig hallottam ezektől a srácoktól, ez totál Country Teasers inspirálta valami. A második szám kezdése meg teljesen The Fall. De a perpignani Sonic Chicken 4 vagy a honfitárs UV Race HOMO c. albuma is beugrik és lehet hülyeség, de én hallok benne valamit a legelső Cheap Time lemezből. Nagyon fasza, ritmusos egyszerű zene, de valami csavar van benne, lehet a monotonitása miatt. Nekem ez a dance-punk. Meg az ilyenek.

If you’re not winning and you’re not crashing, you’re not trying HARD ENOUGH!
Jimmy Trash has finally released his 2019 documentary ‘Hard Enough’, a film uncovering the link between a difficult family history, the pressure he felt to be a professional racer and the untold story of the Golden Era of Australian dirt track racing. We sat down with him to tell us about the making of the film.
So, first of all, what gave you the inspiration to make a film about sprint car racing? What was your initial approach?
I just wanted to make a second film with my mentor, Mario Bucci about this dirty, egomaniac and untold story of Sprint Car racing. But as soon as we started shooting, I realised it had to be about my father and I as well, which demanded lot deeper involvement than i imagined at first.
How did the making of the film affect your family?
The film forced me to understand the world my father was saturated in for most of his lifetime that he lived parallel to his family life. And in turn he had to explain things about his own life that he never had to explain to anybody before about competition, addiction and fanaticism. Understanding his fanaticism helped me understand parts of my own personality as well. In the end it was healing after a difficult process.
Why did more than two years pass by until the release of ‘Hard Enough’?
Hard Enough was my second film and the first one where i had the chance of a possible sale. I was completely naive to the process and fought two years with contract disagreements. But in the end it was more important to me that people see these unique perspectives of the old generation of racers that we managed to get together in this film and prove that they have a vulnerable side. I’m hoping to learn from my mistakes and sell my third film that is currently in pre-production.

egyik fellépője, Jimmy Trash esetében meglepően pontos eredményt hozott a rendhagyó próbálkozás:

TRASH: a term for a person who is dirty and stupid. Often the same as whitetrash, but any race can be trash.
Öröm és boldogság lesz ezt a félőrültet rászabadítani Budapestre…
…vagy kettőt, mármint a Jimmy Trash and Big Daddy Mugglestone két tagját, Jimmy Trash -t és Big Daddy Mugglestone -t. Az elektromos orgona+dob felállású zenekar afrikai ritmusokra pakolja a SUICIDE (’70 -es New York-i szinti punk banda) legmocskosabb szinti hangzását, az ének és az előadásmód pedig baptista szertartásokra emlékeztet. Koncertjeik felszabadult jókedvet és rémületet egyszerre válthatnak ki a közönségből, a voodoo ütemek bibliai idézetekkel pedig tovább növelik a bizonytalanságot és a káoszt.
Big Daddy Mugglestone 1981 ben született az Egyesült Államokban, élete 13 éves korában vett drámai fordulatot amikor születésnapjára kapott egy Fostex 4-track recorder-t, amin elkezdett felvételeket készíteni. Ezek, a többnyire dob és ének/szöveg hangkollázsok, sokszor a Ween zenekar dolgaira emlékeztető idióta kis darabok voltak. Ezek a korai felvételek később megjelentek Mugglestone saját, Valis Records nevezetű kiadójánál, ‘Mugglestone Remix Archives Vols. I & II’ címen. Jazz zenekarokban játszott, egyetemen néprajzot, népzenével kapcsolatos dolgokat hallgatott, 2000-ben pedig Afrikában és Ázsiában tanult illetve dolgozott. 2003-ban Prágába költözik, 2005-től pedig Berlinben él, ahol aztán igazi termékeny időszak kezdődik számára, ami a mai napjainkig tart.
A csapat másik fele, az ausztrál születésű, de Berlinben élő Jimmy Trash is egy érdekes figura. Vele pár éve ismerkedtünk meg egy RNR666 bulin, akkor éppen úton volt a Balkán kis falvaiba, hogy anyagot gyűjtsön réges-régi népszokásokat bemutató dokumentumfilmjéhez, a‘Roots in The Heart’-hoz.

Many people are delighted by the Ooga Boogas. I’m by the Exhaustion. This is another band of the Swedish drummer of Ooga Boogas. The brief history of the band:
„- I met Jensen (he is not the Swedish) when he working in a dive bar. He’s one of the few people who ordered everything I put out on my label, Endless Melt. So he seemed the natural go-to guy. He’d never played bass before, I hadn’t played much guitar. A good pairing.
– Per heard some of my early solo recordings (Drunk Hands) and offered to drum if I wanted to start a band. It didn’t happen till now. He carts round all this scrap metal with his kit, a one man Swedish Pussy Galore.”
