AJ Davila was the bassist and main songwriter in the disbanded Puerto Rican garage punk band Davila 666. He wanted to do something different with all the friends that he has met through the years in the music industry. Beside his band Terror/Amor he called some guests to the recordings: Sergio Rotman from an Argentine ska band Los Fabulous Cadillacs; Alex Anwandter, a Chilean pop-singer; Juan Cirerol, a Mexican folk singer-songwriter; Selma Oxor, a Mexican electro-trash songstress, who also is member of the band; and there are Costa Ricans sure: Johnny Otis from Davila 666, who also member of the band; Mercedes Oller from the garage-pop group Las Robertas; Dax Díaz, a folk singer-songwriter; Fofe Abreu from the electro-pop Fofe y Los Fetiches. So the music is a little ecletic, but very Davila 666-like Latin garage rock.

This digital album is one long track split in two. It was recorded at the same time as his brand new album‘s session.

When I met the Burger first? I don’t remember, but the first cover that is in my mind this:
and it was released in 2008. So since then they’re inescapable factors of rock and roll for me. Maybe, not, sure that the Burger is the most-often written name among the record labels on this site. It’s thanks to their hyperactive record release practice: around 650 titles/6 years, and their bands: Natural Child, Davila 666, John Wesley Coleman, Mikal Cronin, Ty Segall, Jacuzzi Boys, Black Lips, Bare Wires, Cosmonauts, Gap Dream, Grass Widow, Hunx & His Punx, Shannon & The Clams, King Khan, King Louie, King Tuff, Nobunny, Warm Soda and many more DIY music in almost every style: garage, psychedelic, surf, glam and hard rock, punk, hardcore and metal, bedroom, power and synth pop, country and blues. The big output is thanks to their cassettes, because the Burger is the most significant cassette publisher in the Western world. (I think that the biggest cassette publishers are in China and India.) They have a important role in the cassette revival of recent years.

Bored in the mid-70s. Hate that stuff like Foreigner and Boston, so we start a band The Skabbs. It was cut short in 1979 when our songwriter and frontman dies at just 26 years old from a life-long heart condition. The Skabbs were too weird for the art crowd and just terrified the hippies. And now here is the debut album, a collection of never before issued recordings from 1977-78. „Ab-so-lute-ly amazing” Californian pseudo punk

Streets Kill Strange Animals. Chinese noise rock influenced by Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, Yo La Tango and the rapid pace of change and modernization in China. „There was less pollution and fewer people in the 80s of my childhood, though you could enjoy less entertainment and there wasn’t such chaos in the cities. So it seems that I’m a passenger on the bus these days.”

Some moments of a Pizzaboy’s life: „I’m gonna wear the same clothes everyday in California just change my undies and socks. That was my plan but apparently I drank too much last night! Pissed the bed and lost a „Z” from my jacket… walking through the airport with a massive pee stain on my pants was pretty tight.”

KK Null (Kazuyuki Kishino) is one of the most important persons of Japanese experimental scene. He is composer, guitarist, singer and mastermind of progressive hardcore band, Zeni Geva. He started his career as a studied Butoh dancer (by Tanaka Min), and performed guitar improvisations in clubs of Tokyo, then played with Merzbow for two years, and was in various groups together with Yamatsuka Eye (aka Yamantaka Eye, Boredoms) and Tatsuya Yoshida (drums, Ruins). His label released the first Melt-Banana album. As solo artist he is „creating intense clashing wave of noise, structured electro-acoustic ambience, broken down rhythmics, scattered pitch sculptures, droning isolationist material which could be described “cosmic noise maximal/minimalism”. He made two tracks with a Birmingham-based tuba doom duo, Ore. It’s released on limited edition 7″ and digitally on 18th November by Endtyme Records. Samples taken from the double A side 7″

Mr. Elevator & The Brain Hotel. Debut album: Nico & Her Psychedelic Subconscious
out now on Burger Records. 60s style, sometimes Doors-like psychedelic rock.
Kim Fowley (b. 1939) is notorious musician, producer, film maker et cetera. He has begun his musical career in the 60s. He was producer of many highly successful albums for example of Gene Vincent, KISS, Alice Cooper and Runaways, but he worked with punk bands too, like Dead Boys, Germs or Blowtorch. He is co-writer of many songs on those records which were produced by himself. Besides he has own albums, for example. His songs were covered and recorded by for example Nirvana, Sonic Youth or Primal Scream. He has appeared Frank Zappa’s records, and sang lead on two GWAR demo tracks. Moreover he wrote GG Allin’s obituary.

He is working on third part of his autobiography, entitled Lord of Garbage. It will be published the day of his death. No, there’s nothing scandalous, just „because it’s good marketing.” And a there will be a perfume parallel with the book. „It’s called “Garbage.” Smells like jock straps and junkyards.”
