with Weasel Walter(guitar, Flying Lutterbachers), Algis Kizys (bass, Foetus, Swans) and Bob Bert (drums, Sonic Youth).
The set consisted of a quasi-chronological display of musical raw power, ranging from material by Lydia’s classic units Teenage Jesus and the Jerks (1976-79), 8-Eyed Spy (1979-80), 13.13 (1982), and Shotgun Wedding (with Rowland S. Howard, 1991) as well as touching on her solo debut “Queen of Siam” (1980) and various other projects up to the present. But this is no county fair cover-band – Retrovirus is a totally modern take on the atrocities of the past and present, devoid of simpering nostalgia, bristling with a scoriatingly modern sheen of violence and momentum.

DEUX BOULES VANILLE (F) is Loup Gangloff and Frederic Mancini, drum duet triggering analogic synthetizers. After having built, then painted their instruments with their four hands, IIBV get busy dissolving the influences and the personal goals of the two members into a giant mayonnaise sauce including grindcore constructions, techno, dub, improvisation, and creates a music that can be referred to Tony Conrad as much as the last Rihanna radio hit, from the local Crust band to Silver Apples IIBV write their pieces mathematically, considering accidents and chaos with the same attention as the construction of a radio hit.This results in an idiotic music, lonely, danceable, that fits as much in the pit, in a disco or at the supermarket. Dalaikat matematikai pontossággal, a káosz, a véletlenszerűség és az aktuális pop slágerek figyelembevételével írják. A végeredmény nagyon bizarr, kicsit idióta zene, melyben egyszerre lehet felfedezni Tony Conrad, Rihanna, a Silver Apples vagy egy helyi crust core banda motívumait.

RETROVIRUS
Lydia Lunch is an influential artist, one the most important members of No Wave scene. She has started her career as founding member of Teenage Jesus & The Jerks in New York, 1976. She made records in collaboration with various artists such as Foetus, Sonic Youth, Nick Cave, Marc Almond, Rowland S. Howard, Michael Gira, The Birthday Party, Einstürzende Neubauten, Oxbow or Omar Rodriguez-Lopez.
Today start her Euro tour with his band, Retrovirus. The guitarist-songwriter Ruban Nielson has moved to Beervana, aka Portland in US. He peddled his pictures and played music in his bedroom alone. The guitarist Kid Congo’s career
1976: At age of 16 he started The Ramones Unofficial Fan Club in Los Angeles.
1979: Started The Gun Club with Jeffrey Lee Pierce.
1980: Moved to New York, joined The Cramps and played on two albums.
1984: Rejoined The Gun Club, moved to London, founded The Legendary Stardust Cowboy, then The Fur Bible. 1986: Moved to Berlin, joined Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds and played with Die Haut, Lydia Lunch and Anita Lane.
from 1990: Back to LA and founded the Congo Norvell > Moved to NY in the second half of 90s and founded the Knoxville Girls with Bob Bert – drums (Sonic Youth, Pussy Galore, Boss Hog, Action Swingers, Bewitched, Chrome Cranks) and Jerry Teel – vocals, guitar (Honeymoon Killers, Chrome Cranks, Boss Hog) > He has founded Kid Congo & The Pink Monkey Birds and started a project with the electronic musician Khan featuring Julee Cruise in 2001.
