In the early 80’s in Tucson, Arizona Terry Owen, a waiter in a Chinese restaurant found a Beatles „E-Z” chord book in the street and some week after he almost able to play entire sections of Love Me Do. Then he named himself Fish Karma and began an one man comedy act. On one of his show in The Tequila Mockingbird (the bird’s name is very beautiful in Hungarian: sokszavú poszáta) while he played a perverted delta blues the bartender, Al Perry, a legendary local musician began ran an electric drink mixer. Since then they have been working together. Music of Fish Karma is eclectic.
Now he is playing with an local band, The Love Generation. Digital album by Alternative Tentacles and a 7” single with 2 version of American by Sapient.
She was born in Oswiecim (Auschwitz), Poland. She attended Music School at the age of 8, later studied in Art School and Theatre Academy. She moved to Glasgow in 1998 and became a member of the chamber pop trio Hassle Hound. After some albums the band split up in 2008. Meanwhile she went to Warsaw, working for Dramatyczny Theatre, composed music for theatre productions and began solo recordings in 2000. Then she moved to New York in 2004. There she was in a few experimental / noise projects. Her first solo album was released in 2008. In 2009 she was selected for New York Foundation for the Arts Mentoring Program for Immigrant Artists and was also accepted to Film Scoring Mentorship Program. Since January 2012 she went back to Glasgow and working for Clan Destine Records. Her music is hard to definable. She said: „the sonic equivalent of perhaps a Tanguy (French surrealist) painting or post-punk from the Gaslamp Era.” Or – take her slogan – making movies for ears.

Theres is nothing else like Australian underground electronic music, it’s style is completly unique. It can range from hardcore, breakcore, to a mix of everything else. Around the mid 90’s it was possible to start to hear Australian hardcore-breakcore because Nasenbluten got some of there music released on the New York label Industrial Strength.
Soon after Nasenbluten started his own record company calledBloody Fist, and started releaseing records one after the other. All most all music was exceptionally good, and all artist where from Australia. In the Bloody Fist records you can hear a big influence of hiphop, rap, beats, meloady’s, rap samples, as well as samples from unique Australian TV comercials, and life. Another intresting fact is alot of artist used Amiga’s, and Atari computer’s using early "tracker" programs, often the samples where in 8 bit. Australian underground music is still alive and well these days as well. This is just a little slice of it, and will post more extansivlly, music and information about one of my favorite "music-place".
