Once upon a time „the Axemen began life as a seething mass of algae in a cess-pool located at the back of a disused factory somewhere in North Dunedin, New Zealand. The exact location of the cess-pool has unfortunately been lost to the ravages of time, but the factory still stands – a disused, vacant shell with little hope of being restored to its former majesty. Following a sudden meteor storm in 1983, the Axemen rapidly evolved, developed fully functional hands and ears (where before there had only been useless stumps) and metamorphosed rapidly into one of the most radical, chaotic and inspired rock bands of all time.” & so on.
They were one of the World most killingly funny bands but no one knew about it before the internet age. Beside many own released cassettes they has released three albums by the legendary Flying Nun Records. Prices of these items are extremely high nowadays. (For example the Peter Wang Pud used CD is 25-80 Euros, the vinyl are between 35-100 Euros.)
Suitable phrases for their music: radically independent do-it-yourself lo-fi garage art punk. But „I hung out with the Hare Krishnas in Christchurch for a little bit. They used to have free vegetarian dinners on Sunday nights. The music was pretty cool. There was sort of a Beatles connection with Hare Krishna. Stu was really into John Lennon. We were all Beatles fans.” Moreover their last cassette was a tribute album to Elton John in 1992. It’s so frightening, is not it? When I first met with them in 2011 I cried out „Oh my God! What is it?”
The first video is a rare and baffling TV performance in a Saturday morning kid show in 1991. The song (Hey Alice!) turns into a promo for their just released CD. I’m sure, many New Zealander children cried for Axemen CD after the show.
And the destiny has reached him too. They have become discovered. Their albums were re-released in the US by Siltbreeze. And now here is the new, yes the new Axemen album! Sac Tap Nut Jam. It’s less chaotic like the usual. A song from it.

Lazy from Kansas City. Punk. No more but no less, and there are some really good songs:
from Obsession LP by Moniker
ps: Surprising, during the listening to one of their songs, the Iron Maiden comes to my mind. Riddle.

The legendary Anglo-Dutch experimental rock band formed in London in 1980. The band was originally called One Day. And one day „We, the Legendary Pink Dots feel it is our duty to inform an unwary public that the new number of the Beast is 834.”
from The Getshemane Option LP by Metropolis
They frequently collaborated with Skinny Puppy’s cEvin Key, forming a side project named The Tear Garden. Key also played drums on several tracks.

In my opinion this guy is a lunatic, such as me. He has played post T-Rex lo-fi cyber punk:
from SAY! WHAT IS THIS? and WHAT’S THE HUBUB BUB LPs by M’lady’s Records
These are from two reissues. The originals were released in 1980-81. The Tronics had been playing since 77 till 84 in England. The main person was Ziro Baby. Nowadays his name is Zarjaz and doin’ the Freakapuss. A split 7” with Sic Alps was released last year.
Alpine tribal experimental with accurate violet cows from the space.
MIR – from Shock Your Moneymaker LP by A Tree In A Field Records
Mr Queer Fish wrote and recorded an autobiographical concept album in Detroit, 1981. For sake of the simplicity he hired the studio owner’s funky band as backing group. It was a superb decision, because it born so unique style and sound which ahead of his time: lo-fi fuzzy minimal funk rock. Mr. Queer Fish pressed 100 or 200 copies without sleeve and buried the records in his parents’ basement. Resurrection time!

The M.O.T.O. (Maters Of The Obvious) was founded in New Orleans in 1981. During his story the band was quartet, trio, duo and Paul Caporino. He is the only constant member, the motor. The band play „proto-lo-fi caveman pop or homemade rock’n’roll”. The Golden Quarter Hour 7″ EP includes 8 new songs which was recorded by a 4-track for the sake of the perfect sound:
by Rerun (USA) and Blast Of Silence Records (Finland). You can grab it with many other songs in digital form from here
A split 7″ with two Finnish bands. A faultless post punk/new wave song from The Lazards and The Seekrets come into my mind the B52’s, and it is great!

Vanishing Winter is the Dear Eloise‘s fourth 7” on Genjing Records (and seventh release overall), is a departure from the playful shoegaze-influenced pop purity of their earlier work, tacking down a darker path:
Li Daiguo, the acclaimed boundary-pushing musical polymath known as much for his complex compositions performed on a wide spectrum of traditional instruments as his often-bewildering live performances that have seen the American-born Chinese cavort with gypsies, tramps and other self-described lunatics alongside some of the country’s most respected avant-garde and experimental musicians. His latest effort, the seven-inch vinyl release Music for Advertisements, sees Li presenting a series of sonic advertisements for seven locations that the 32-year-old appreciated during his six years in Chengdu. „I practice a lot of different styles of music, including shona music, classical Indian, Chinese and Western classical music plus different types of Chinese opera and the like. (…) The Music For Advertisement 7″ is about emotions that I observed and had that were associated in my mind with things going on in Chengdu when I lived there—not necessarily big things or events, but just little things that you might notice and have a feeling about. (…) And how long you sit there and watch, listen and what the day is like will obviously affect the mood—like hoards of rickshaws and cars and bicycles like massive schools of fish through the smog or the dark dampness of a TB hospital where people are full of a variety of emotions while waiting in line outside under the perpetually-grey skies of Chengdu to test their blood or do X-rays and not cough blood everywhere.”

The Dyne „We got together in Beijing in Spring 2012. It’s me on guitar and bass and another guy, Bai Tianke, on drums and percussion. I was in the original lineup of Beijing indie folk outfit Fragmentary Portrait from 2003-05 and a member of Rubber Phonographic Needle until 2010. Bai Tianke was the original drummer for Careless.” Minimal surf rock:
