Target: Budapest

A VOIVOD az egyik legnagyobb hatású, mondhatni kultikus thrash metál zenekar. A banda fennállásának 35. évfordulóját turnéval és új lemezzel ünnepli. Budapesten szeptember 15-én a Dürer Kertben.

A 2013-as Target: Earth már Newsted nélkül készült. Az albumon a visszatér eredeti basszusgitáros, a 91-ben kivált Blacky – aki közben kortárs táncdaraboknak írt elektroakusztikus zenét. (Viszont pár év múlva ismét kivált.)

A legújabb nagylemez a The Wake e hónap végén jön ki.

A természetes intelligencia viszont VOIVOD koncertre vezeti a népet

SZEPTEMBER 15. BUDAPEST DÜRER KERT

Black Heaven on Blue Danube

Hash Wednesday with two American eclectic psychedelic rock bands

EARTHLESS and PALLBEARER

on 8 AUG in BUDAPEST at A38

EARTHLESS is heavy psychedelic rock trio. Creating energetic, utterly unique and free thinking mainly instrumental music inspired by an eclectic semi-improvised mix of German krautrock – like Guru Guru, Amon Düül II – and Japanese heavy blues-rock bands like Flower Travelling Band or Blues Creation. But there are other stuffs which are affecting their music e.g. and especially the first three ZZ Top albums, the Aussie post-punk band Scientists, lots of jazz like old Coltrane and Thelonious Monk or some mid-60s garage rock bands. But for me their music often cites when Black Sabbath played with Jimmy Hendrix at an acid jam session in my mind.

Their new album BLACK HEAVEN released this year on Nuclear Blast Records. You can listen to it in full entirety.

The other band will be the PALLBEARER that lysergic night. They are mixing progressive rock in its classical sense, alterative rock of the nineties and the timeless weight of doom.

So the best if you accept your fate and take a psychedelic mind trip at full tilt and celebrate Hash Wednesday with them that night on the spot.

Californian NO BABIES‘ new album SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME on English label UPSET THE RHYTHM is such as if Scottish anarchopunk band Dog Faced Hermans and Japanese experimental chaos hardcore band Melt-Banana would have been made an album together.

5. SARAH SHOOK was born in Rochester, New York. She was homeschooled and grew up in a fundamentalist Christian family where music was restricted. In high school, she taught herself acoustic guitar. Inspired by artists such as the Sex Pistols, Elliott Smith and Hank Williams she started her first country band, Sarah Shook and the Devil in 2010. But now here is her second album with THE DISARMERS on Chicago BLOODSHOT RECORDS.

The album YEARS is about finding a way. A way through exhaustion, depression, betrayal, hangover after hangover, upper after downer after upper, fight after never-ending fight. It’s about picking yourself up and dusting yourself off after years of being trampled and beaten down, jutting your chin out, head high after they’ve done their worst, and shouting: Fuck you! I do want I want!

6. Songs of alienation and anxiety from Kiev by post-punk shoegaze band BICHKRAFT. New album 800 on WHARF CAT RECORDS (US)

„We are standing at the edge of the end of times. The catastrophe is imminent. La peur est partout. Fear is Everywhere.”

So Swiss dark folk funeral band THE DEAD BROTHERS hid in the Vosges mountains in the little French miner village Saintes Marie aux Mines to take the pulse of our time.
