It’s a pleasure to get a mail from the Canadian garage – punk – rock Telephone Explosion Records. If I see their mail in my box, I rub my hands because I know they have released another great record. And those are so good, that you can buy safely their any records without listening, because their name is a guarantee for the high octane rock’n’roll. There are two RNR666 related bands. The Hell Shovel gave a show in Budapest at RNR666 party already, while the Demon’s Claws were the band of Pierrot before Jack of Heart. Not long ago a fantastic primitive garage hard rock LP by Crosss arrived, and now here is the Teenanger album.

It’s interesting just so much as The Ramones. Listen!

„Medieval Power Folk” – What?

The singer of the Songs (nothing special Aussie indie pop) decided to record a solo album and enlisted two friends to back her up in 2011. One of them is Nisa Venerosa from the minimal psych something duo, Fabulous Diamonds! During the sessions they decided to form an entirely new band, the Bushwalking. These tracks taken from the second album, No Enter by Chapter Music

About The JC Satán / Piresian Beach Split 7”

on the RAZORCAKE by Rick Ecker: „JC SATAN start off with two garage-rock-mixed-with-pop songs that are fuzzed-out jams. They have a nice groove to them and get your head bobbing. PIRESIAN BEACH’s two songs are more experimental and trippy, but really flow well on this single with the other songs. Both bands really did a great job. If you’re into the more out-there and non-traditional punk bands, you’ll like it too.”

cosmonauts

“We’re too punk for the psychedelic bands and too psychedelic for the punk bands.” The sound of Cosmonauts like Spacemen 3, early Sonic Youth and Velvet Underground spiced with surf tones and oriental psychedelic tunes. “It could be one chord the whole song and to us it can still have more movement than a wild improv jazz record.”

from Persona Non Grata LP by Burger

They are in Euro Tour! “We usually don’t use any pedals and just have our amps loud.”

Easy English style punk from Texan Swell Maps and Country Teasers fans. Yes sir, it’s almost perfect. There are some really good songs, but the album is too long, it becomes bore to the end.

dirtbombs

Surprise! Dirtbombs. And the style is 70s bubblegum music! Yes, the entire LP. An old dream has come true, because the Detroit garage rockers intended to make a bubblegum album at first in 2003. Then the music changed to „car-commercial” pop rock. The second attempt was in 2007. At the time the album’s themes turned into too dark. And finally the success has arrived. Fanfares!

from Ooey Gooey Chewy Ka-blooey! LP by In The Red

There were some Dirtbomb surprises in the past. My favorite one is the Ultraglide in Black (2001), a collection of soul, R&B and Motown covers with an own track. And there is their previous album, the Party Store (2011) featuring covers of early Detroit techno and house. By the way, two drummers are in the band.
