Dorian Pimpernel for the dream and ecstasy. French psychedelic pop. They said: moonshine pop: „esoteric, whimsical, volatile, evil little sister of the famous “sunshine pop” of Califorina.” Inspired by the first wave of psychedelia, kraut rock and music of the 60s cinema (esp.Morricone, Basil Kirchin). With a bunch of old instruments and lost illusions on the path which lead nowhere.

It’s meaningful that their debut album was released in Japan, 2006.

Frantix was a punk band in the early 80s in Colorado. They were opening act before The Who in Denver, 1983. There were two 7″ singles in 1982-83, then they evolved into the grunge band The Fluid. All studio tracks, along with rare, unreleased live and demo songs will be released in one by Alternative Tentacles in April. Good rattling garage punk like Killdozer, Flipper, Cirlce Jerks and many others

Suck Their Shirt

coathangers

7 years ago in Atlanta 4 girls have decided to start a band, walked in a pawnshop, bought the most cheapest instruments and begun to learn play. So their early recordings are not too defined works, but I like these nice no wave-like primitive garage rock songs. Since then there were 3 albums and some split 7″ singles (Audacity, Nü Seanse, Davila 666). Naturally they have developed their musical skill, but the music stayed simple,  not too sophisticated but great garage rock. Oh, almost I forgot that one of them quit. So the brand new album ‘Suck My Shirt’ was made by a trio. Out now on Suicide Squeeze Records

The title refers to salvaging of some spilt Tequila during the recordings.

Oops. They’re The Coathangers! I’m a little absent-minded tonight.

Clag formed in 1991 as a psychotic kiddie punk band in Australia. They disbanded in 1995. They have left three singles and a legend. There was a reunion recently and a 7″ vinyl will be released on 19 April with two new tracks and new live recordings.

There was another legendary band in the 90s. It was called Nirvana. Yeah, they did some good tracks at that time. There were some hits and finally a shot. Now here is their last studio album In Utero from covers. The songs are played for example by Ceremony, Thursday, Pigmy Lush, Young Widows, Jay Reatard, Mean Jeans.

Here are two opinions of customers:
„Why would you take crappy artists and try to do a classic album. Ugh at least try to make the songs sound good. Horrible”
„I don’t write review too often, but after listening to this garbage I felt compelled to. There is nothing good about this album.”
