Paul Major (vocal/lead guitar) got totally obsessed with psychedelic rock when was teenager in the late 60’s. But his band started out only in 1997 as Tuesday night jams, named after the John Lee Hooker album Endless Boogie. Their music repetitive, one-chord riff-rock, descended from 60/70’s.

The Australian Ooga Boogas range in his music from proto-punk to new wave synth pop. But why I hear more and more times Lou Reed’s voice and the music of Velvet Underground on the brand new album?

Ooga Boogas – Circle of Trust from Ooga Boogas LP

Many people are delighted by the Ooga Boogas. I’m by the Exhaustion. This is another band of the Swedish drummer of Ooga Boogas. The brief history of the band:
„- I met Jensen (he is not the Swedish) when he working in a dive bar. He’s one of the few people who ordered everything I put out on my label, Endless Melt. So he seemed the natural go-to guy. He’d never played bass before, I hadn’t played much guitar. A good pairing.
– Per heard some of my early solo recordings (Drunk Hands) and offered to drum if I wanted to start a band. It didn’t happen till now. He carts round all this scrap metal with his kit, a one man Swedish Pussy Galore.”

Both LP has been released by Aarght Records

Busó – 5 Songs…  (digital album, 2013. January), 3E (digital album, 2012. November)

This is dreadful. Was the first thought. It could be a positive attribute too. But isn’t now. On the other hand I have to do with the dark ambient so much that I heard from it already. So probably I would tell this to all of works in this style. How the Busó where takes place in the sombre field of the dark ambient? It will be decided by others.

Mysterious. What induced somebody to do this style? Similar enigma is the harsh noise. But I can explain it that there is no need to musical skills moreover classical musical instruments, neither. But no excuse for the dark ambient.

Busó’s albums are free download
