FUTUROSCOPE is a theme park, a stupid high-tech multimedia Disneyland in France, in Vienne Departement. If you go thereabout rather choose the goat cheese and the wine! But also is a French band with perfect references. Unfortunately there’re just a little, but luckily increasing bunch of people who knows about the great little label in Texas, Monofonus Press, and the magnifique petit label in France, Cockatail Pueblo. Led Er Est, Shit and Shine, John Wesley Coleman, The Golden Boys, The Pheromoans, The Rebel, Trans Upper Egypt, XYX (is my absolute favorite there), perhaps these are the most well-known band on Monofonus. Well, I think after these, it is absolutely needless to mention the bands of Cocktail Pueblo (look those!). The Futuroscope’ records were released by them. The French trio (from Tours, with a member of Pneu) plays psychedelic ritual kraut space rock, often it twists into ecstasy

The founder of notorious British alternative punk band Country Teasers (which was somewhere between The Fall and Fat White Family), Ben Waller says about the beginning of his musical carrier: “I envied the guys in the school band. From RNR666 party I know a Turkish new wave synth-punk band: Kirik Cizgi. Now here is another one: Kim Ki O. Their music is a little more darker and minimal than the other one, but it shows surprising rhythmical similarity! Yes, the influence of Turkish folklore. Bir, Iki LP compiles the best cuts from Kim Ki O’s long out of print CDs, with a song from (!)Enfant Terrible Record’s „Radio Resistancia” CD compilation. „Synth, bass, indie, dark”

Pere Ubu is a band. It was formed in Cleveland in the mid-70s after the break-up of garage rock band Rockets From The Tombs. The most famous RFTT song is the Sonic Reducer. It would be a punk anthem by The Dead Boys, which was formed by the one half of RFTT.

Pere Ubu plays experimental rock. The only constant member is David Thomas. On his albums he has talked nonsene about art of walking and sleep walk, barking dogs and horses, guitars and girls, clouds and weather, honey moon and Monday morning, Steve and Michele, Heaven and Hell, ice cream truck and stolen Cadillac, the flames over Nebraska and winter in the Firelands, and so on until 414 seconds.

The moon and the monkeys are the two main motifs of the new Pere Ubu album Carnival of Souls. But you can also find there e.g. Greyhounds, maps, stars, love and duck. But if all these wouldn’t be tempting enough for you, a number of the songs were developed from an underscore composed for the classic B-category horror movie Carnival of Souls.

Joanna Gruesome is among the best indie rock band. The Welsh group combines garage punk with indie pop in a very unique style. There will be released two split records soon. I very like Total Punk Records, not just for their releases, but also for their name. Because it’s absolutely enough to write that Golden Pelicans‘ debut album by Total Punk, and everything is clear

Not many people can front a rock band, sing Górecki’s Third Symphony, lead a marching band processional down the streets of the Sundance film festival and perform in a baroque opera of their own composing — all in a month’s time. But Shara Worden can. She came from a musical family of traveling evangelists, went on to study operatic voice and then classical composition not only in the States, but also in Moscow, where she made her first records. Since 2006 she has been making art pop records under the name of My Brightest Diamond. And there were many collaborations with such artists as Laurie Anderson, David Byrne & Fat Boy Slim, Sufjah Stevens, Prefuse 73, Recoil, Bon Iver, The Blind Boys of Alabama and more.

STATIQBLOOM is the German born Fade Kainer from New York. He has industrial metal background (Batillus, Inswarm, Theologian), member in tour band of Jarboe (Swans). ZEX MODEL is a project of Paul von Aphid from Russia, Kaliningrad (aka Königsberg, East-Prussia). It’s dedicated to mutant sounds of 80’s WaxTrax and Nettwerk Records.
