Nem szeretném egy kedvéért mellőzni a többit. Végtelen lelkesedéssel emlékszem valamennyire, de ha egyet kell választani, akkor az, amelyikre mindig el akarok menni, amelyiknek emléke jó kedvre derít, és olykor nosztalgikus könnyeket is csal a szemembe. A TV Colours. Mi (a Summer Schatzies) játszottunk előttük, és volt szerencsénk az egész hétvégét velük tölteni. A buli valami elképesztően fantasztikus volt. Legkedvesebb emlékem a Neighborhood rövid intro-ja utáni pillanat. A szám hirtelen 4/4-re váltott, mire sör töltötte meg a levegőt, mert az emberek – mintha valami jelre vártak volna – minden átmenet nélkül ugrálni kezdtek, mint a hülyék. És onnantól kezdve nem volt megállás. Na és mindemellett, ezek az ausztrál fiuk a legkedvesebb és legokosabb emberi lények a Földön.

One of the best European garage rock/punk label is Goodbye Boozy Records. It was founded in the late 90s in Teramo, which is a little central Italian town. The label is focusing limited edition 7″ vinyls. Some names of the roster: Ty Segall, Mikal Cronin, King Khan, BBQ, River City Tainlines, Lantern, CPC Gangbangs, LiveFastDie, Red Mass, Useless Eaters, Cosmonauts, Outdoorsmen, Timmy’s Organism, Hussy, Straight Arrows, Hellshovel, Movie Star Junkies, Warm Soda.
Here are the new singles. GBB brings 4 bands from Australia, where is maybe the most exciting musical scene in the world nowadays:
Ausmuteants, Frowning Clouds, Hierophants and Wet Blankets, which is fronted by a 15 years old dude. And last but not least a Trio Banana 7″ also will be released together with Bubca Records.

„I wanted to do a rock ‘n roll band, because the best thing in the world is being in a rock ‘n roll band.  I guess I’d been friends with Nic (Bed Wettin’ Boys, RIP Society Records) for a really long time and I was saying that to him on a phone, and he’s like “I’m the guy for the job.” – said the Australian musician Angel Bermuda (Circle Pit, Southern Comfort, Straight Arrows) about her brand new project, Ruined Fortune. „It’s a really different sound to Circle Pit though: it’s a bit darker and weirder.” Tight, noisy punk rock in the manner of late 70s-early 80s with cheap Casios, drum machine and metal percussion.

S/T LP by Hozac Records. It was recorded with two drummers, Daniel Spencer (Blank Realm) and Joe Alexander (Per Purpose).

Aussie big city folk in electro-acoustic junk pop style, spiced with ambient garbage. Maybe the instruments and the tunes are from a dump or the Moon, where is „A place wherein is wonderfully stored / Whatever on our earth below we lose. / Collected there are all things whatsoe’er, / Lost through time, chance, or our own folly, here.”* The sound is like as if it would come straight from a trashcan. Perfect.

Xiu Xiu is a famous experimental band. Many times on many site I red that it’s very good and very artistic, so I tried to make friends with their music, but it didn’t work. „Interesting” – thought about the previous Nina Simone cover album, but I will never listen to it again. Thanks, but there’re the originals. I have listened to their new album many times. Electronic noise, melancholic melodies, goth style lamentation, screams and cries. That’s all and not more. Too good and too artistic for me.

Bedroom hip-hop with taste of noise punk by the multi-instrumentalist experimental rapper, Signor Benedick The Moor, who arrived from the metal/hc scene. „The name comes from two places, both Shakespearean, Benedick is the main character in Much Ado About Nothing, and I identify with him on a personal level as someone who will in the future be jaded because of his past experiences with love. He is also very witty and I like to think the same of myself. The second, the Moor, comes from the characters Aaron the Moor and Othello, both outsiders because of their skin color. I’ve felt like an outsider since I began to form my self-awareness, because of my half-white, half-black heritage, and because I always seemed to think so much differently than everyone else.”

Melvins “Tres Cabrones” album with original drummer, Mike Dillard.

Dillard left the band and was replaced by Dale Crover in 1985, but they and Buzz Osborne (guitar, vocals) then played together in Kurt Cobain’s first band, Fecal Matter, moreover Crover played drums in the early Nirvana. An other founding member of Melvins is Matt Lukin, who founded the Mudhoney. He is retired from music and working as a carpenter since 2001.
