Vialka is a duo of Eric Boros (guitar & voice) and Marylise Frecheville (percussion & voice). They are on world tour permanently since their formation in 2002 with their very strange experimental folk rock music. Josephine Foster is a modern American folk singer-songwriter and musician. She has started her musical career as a funeral and wedding singer, and aspired to become an opera singer. She has made music in various genres like psychedelic rock, early American folk and blues, Tin Pan Alley style music (American popular music of late 19 and early 20 century. Tin Pan Alley was the nickname of a specific place in Manhattan where the music publishing firms and stores were settled.). Furthermore she has two Spanish folk albums, and made strange interpretations of 19th Century German songs of Wolf, Brahms, Schubert and Goethe. Three songs from her brand new album.

Bill Callahan is an American singer-songwriter. He has started his career in 1991 as Smog. In the beginning he played strange lo-fi experimental music with substandard, poorly tuned instruments like Jandek. In this early period he recorded two albums with Jim O’Rourke and John McEntire (Tortoise). His songs were recorded by Gil Scott-Heron, Flaming Lips and Cat Power. In 2007 he dropped the pseudonym and begin releasing his albums under his own name. Small Plane from Dream River album

The British visual artist Mathew Sawyer play sometimes popy, sometimes rocky, sometimes punky chamber folk music with his band, The Ghost. He said 3 years before after the second album: „I wanted to make a happy record, but it didn’t really work. The next one will be so much fun… [laughs]. “ On his third album he analyses the relationship between Thanatos and Hypnos. They are twin brothers, personificators of the Death and the Sleep in the Greek mythology. Their parents, Erebos (Darkness) and Nyx (Night) born from the Chaos. And they have some children more: Moros (Doom), Momus (Mockery), Oizys (Misery), Nemesis (Revenge), Eris (Discord), Apate (Deceit), etc. Hey! What they have brought up their children for? I call the court of guardians at once.

The recordings were made in his home hand in hand with his everyday living. „The sound of cars come through the windows, the phone rings, floorboards creak. These sounds all played an important role in making this record. Studios are quiet and lifeless.”

„Medieval Power Folk” – What?

The singer of the Songs (nothing special Aussie indie pop) decided to record a solo album and enlisted two friends to back her up in 2011. One of them is Nisa Venerosa from the minimal psych something duo, Fabulous Diamonds! During the sessions they decided to form an entirely new band, the Bushwalking. These tracks taken from the second album, No Enter by Chapter Music
