„when people I know ask me what my band is like I tell them, ‘it’s noisy, with keyboards, you wouldn’t like it’”

Gentle Friendly started when David took some scrapped drums and guitars out of a skip in East-London. Cleaned the instruments and invited Daniel to “come and mess with the stuff” while he played his broken Casio MT-40. Eventually the guitars stayed out of use. Very playful experimental pop. Maybe like the early Animal Collective.

„We’re at that point where we just don’t give a fuck about anything. We want to get a bad review. A lot of bands start off with their punk record first and then just get weaker. We want to only get better and louder.” And to play rough noise rock, like some Amphetamine Reptile artists in the 90s, for example Killdozer, Chrome Cranks or Halo of Flies.

„Trends change each others quarterly in the party district of Budapest, but RNR666 snaps one’s fingers at these, just organizes his parties with garage rock, punk, blues and wtf bands from all over the world almost for 10 years. French garage rock band? I have no idea of it, but let’s go there, will be high spirits and beer sprinkling, it’s cert. Psychedelic band from Italy? I never heard their name before, but it will be sick sure enough. Go! Israeli garage punk? By all means.” (Urbanplayer)
After break-up of two cultic Italian garage rock bands The Boilers and The Ultra Twist some members of those founded Big Mountain County. They play psychedelic garage rock’n’roll, sometimes it’s like the early Butthole Surfers, then they play a blues from Robert Johnson.
Dope Calypso play blues punk’n’roll with members of Kollaps and Haunebu. Their music reminds me of Night Terrors, Superhelicopter and Black Magic Six. Debut show.

A cult band in garage punk underground: LiveFastDie. Forward on GG Allin’s way
from Hit Stains LP which is a compilation from their singles on Almost Ready Records. First 100 on shit colored wax.
The band is named after a tattoo of GG Allin, and one of them is same town as GG — Littleton, New Hampshire. „I heard his music for the first time when I was 11, before I heard any other punk music. Living in Littleton, there’s always some older kid who’s proud of being from the same town as GG. I actually picked up his step-dad while he was hitch-hiking once. He tried to convince me to get an eight ball with him.” Eight ball: a quantity of cocaine or crystal that weighs an eighth of an ounce, which is equivalent to 3.5 grams.

There was a very British-style twee pop band in America, the Aberdeen. The band It formed in 1993 and signed to the seminal English label Sarah Records, where they were the only not British act. The label closed in 1995, the band broke-up in same year. In the recent times some members have started a new project, The Luxembourg Signals. First single before the album on Shelflife Records

Peculiar experimental tropical music from electro-noise tunes to danceable pop melodies by Helado Negro. Son of Ecuadorian immigrants, who has grown in the Latin-American bustle of South-Florida. His interest was arouse by the sounds of tropical nature and environment: subwoofers in the cars, howling music of portable stereos, uproars of night parties and more. Since then he looks on every device as musical instruments. I’m glad to hear about him again, because
