Kedden volt öt éve, hogy álmában kinyírta a szar kóla meg a pia az akkor 29 éves Jimmy Lee Lindsey Jr.-t. Már életében egyfajta punk ikonnak számított, a halála után meg pláne. Egy hiperaktív őrült volt, milliónyi zenekarral és hanganyaggal (kíváncsiságból kimásoltam a diszkográfiáját, két és fél oldal), rengeteg mítoszépítő balhéval, és hihetetlenül jó dalíró érzékkel. Ezért szinte nincs olyan projektje, aminek ne lenne legalább néhány kurvajó száma, de végig zseniális lemezekbe sem nehéz akadni.
A Reatards volt az első kamaszként indított egyszemélyes lo-fi, szarrá torzított recsegő garázs punk projektje, aztán nem sokkal később szerzett még két hülyét (koncertekre meg még egyet), de utána sem lettek kevésbé zajosak

We want to organize SKIP JENSEN for 10 years, since from the established of RNR666. And the dream comes true now. Born as Serge Gendron and comes from Montreal, Canada. The city was one of the most important places of underground rock’n’roll in the first decade of the XXI. century. King Khan also comes from this scene. Its special vigorous sound is represented by the album Symphatetic Sounds of Montreal. Two bands of Skip Jensen appeared on it, Scat Rag Boosters and The Stack O’Leas. After the break-ups he continued his music career as a classic one-man-band under the name of Skip Jensen & His Shakin Feet, meanwhile he was the drummer of Demon’s Claw for 2,5 years. Later his one-mand-band became a duo with Seb Normal (The Feeling of Love, Normals, Delacave etc.) from France. Finally it has became a trio. They have made an album, a single and a video last year:
The style is self-described as Supersonic Rock’n’Roll. It’s spiced with blues and other American folk elements. For the fans of Oblivians, Bassholes, Mojomatics. Skip Jensen also a fine graphic artist

One year in penitentiary and bad conduct discharge was the sentence of Navy’s Court Martial in the fraudulent enlistment case of 15 years old Andre Williams, who was born in 1936, Alabama. „Kiss-my-ass-mother-fuckers!” was his response. Right after his discharge he went to Detroit with 25 dollars in his pocket. The day of the coming he entered for a talent show, afternoon wrote a song and won. His first hit was Bacon Fat in 1956 on Fortune Records
Then he worked with Motown Records as a producer too. Wrote and recorded songs together with Stevie Wonder, The Contours, Ike & Tina Turner and more, and also wrote some songs for Parliament and Funkadelic. In the 80s he became a homeless because his hard r’n’b lifestyle. He came back with a rap album in 1990. Since he has made amazing albums in various style: garage rock, blues, country, funk and soul. These were released such labels as In The Red, Bloodshot or Norton Records.
One of his early songs, Jailhouse Blues from 1958 has been covered by Obnox (aka Bim Thomes, drummer of blues punk band Bassholes)

A Dream Comes True
French Canadian garage rock and roll blues punk musician Skip Jensen arrives in Budapest at RNR666 Party on 29 January.
Founder of garage rock blues punk band Scat Rag Boosters (which was like the Oblivians and the Gories) and played drums with the Demon’s Claw, but he had a bunch of songs the he’d written that just didn’t seem to fit in anywhere, so he created a solo project. In the beginning it was a one man band, then duo with Seb Normal (Feeling of Love) and finally a trio.
